2019 Ducati Multistrada 950 spied

The upcoming, updated Multistrada 950 has been spotted testing. The adventure-tourer has been spied without any camouflage whatsoever, revealing many of the new model’s styling and mechanical updates.

The most significant change on the motorcycle is the redesigned fairing, which now makes it look more similar to its elder sibling, the Multistrada 1260. The 2019 bike also has silver-coloured knuckle guards and swingarm, as opposed to the black seen on the current model.

While the mechanicals look similar, the updated model will most likely use a hydraulic clutch instead of the conventional unit – a change that Ducati has also made on the new-generation Scrambler. The remote preload adjuster has also moved, which could be because of a bigger change to the suspension. While the motorcycle will continue to use the 937cc L-twin engine, it is possible to be tuned to produce more power and be ready to meet the upcoming Euro-VI (BS-VI, for India) emission regulations.

Considering that Ducati has added cornering ABS to a more-affordable offering like the Scrambler, we believe that tech could make it to the Multistrada 950 as well. Expect these updates to bring a slight hike to the price of the motorcycle when it goes on sale some time in 2019. The 2018 Multistrada 950 is available for Rs 12.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India). As part of an ongoing festive season offer, Ducati is also giving away a GoPro action camera with the 2018 Multi 950, click here to know more.
