BS6 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga S-CNG launched at Rs 8.95 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS6-compliant Ertiga S-CNG at Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the CNG model was introduced in July last year, it has now been upgraded to meet BS6 norms. As such, prices have increased by about Rs 7,000.

Other than this upgrade to meet the more stringent emission norms, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG is unchanged. It is still only available in a single, mid-spec VXi variant, and comes with the same list of features and safety kit.

Like in the BS4 version, the Ertiga’s K15B petrol unit makes a lower 92hp and 122Nm of torque when run on CNG. However, the ARAI mileage has reduced marginally from 26.2km/kg in BS4 form to 26.08km/kg.

The Japanese company also announced today that over 5.28 lakh units of the Ertiga have been sold since the MPV had first launched about nine years ago.

Speaking of CNG models, Maruti Suzuki has just revealed the S-Presso S-CNG. Prices for this CNG hatchback will be announced soon.
