BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 priced from Rs 85,920

Following the BS6 versions of the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and Pulsar 220F, we’ve also gotten our hands on prices for the BS6 Pulsar 150 range – Rs 85,920 for the Neon, Rs 92,429 for the Standard and Rs 96,563 for the Twin Disc variant (all prices, ex-showroom). The new price for the Neon is nearly Rs 10,000 more than that of the outgoing BS4 model, while the Standard and Twin Disc now cost nearly Rs 12,000 more.

The dealer we spoke to told us that the bikes receive no significant cosmetic updates, but we have to wait for official information to confirm this. At the moment, the BS4 Pulsar 150 range is powered by a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 14hp at 8,000rpm and 13.4Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The updated range will most likely be powered by the same engine, but will employ a fuel-injection system in place of a carburettor. How this will affect the bike’s peak output figures and performance remains to be seen.

The Pulsar 150 range received its last update nearly a year ago, when they had to be equipped with ABS to comply with the mandatory ABS norms.
