Lamborghini India is set to expand its Huracan Evo range by launching the latest RWD version on January 29. The two-wheel-drive model will be sold alongside the four-wheel-drive Evo and Evo Spyder, which are priced at Rs 3.73 crore and Rs 4.1 crore, respectively.
The Evo RWD is powered by the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine, which has featured in all Huracans prior. It is tuned to put out 610hp at 8,000rpm, which is 40hp more than the last-gen Huracan RWD but 30hp less than the four-wheel-drive Evo. The maximum torque output is 560Nm, which is 40Nm down on the standard Evo. The claimed top speed of the RWD is 325kph, with a 0-100kph time of 3.3sec.
The Evo RWD gets a specially tuned version of Lamborghini’s Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) that gets the Strada, Sport and Corsa drive modes. It also weighs 33kg less than the four-wheel-drive Evo, thanks to the lighter rear-wheel-drive setup. The Lamborghini Dynamic Steering system is also said to be specifically tuned for the Evo RWD, to increase driver feedback.
In order to distinguish it from the standard Evo, the RWD gets some design tweaks like a new front splitter and air intake, along with a reworked rear diffuser. In terms of features, the Evo RWD gets an 8.4-inch touchscreen in the centre console with Apple CarPlay compatibility, a fully-digital instrument cluster and 19-inch alloys shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
Like all Lamborghinis, the Evo RWD can be customized as per the buyers taste and will be available with lots of optional extras. As for its rivals, the Evo RWD competes with other two-wheel drive supercars like the upcoming Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Aston Martin Vantage and the Mercedes-AMG GT R. Expect the RWD to be priced slightly lower than the four-wheel drive Evo.
