Hyundai introduces new ‘Click to buy’ online sales platform

Hyundai India recently launched a new online sales platform called ‘Click to buy’. Essentially, this platform allows customers to purchase any Hyundai car online, without having to physically visit a dealership. As of now, this ‘Click to buy’ service has begun on a pilot basis and is only available with select dealerships in Delhi-NCR.

At the launch of the platform, SS Kim, MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India told PTI, “It is India's first online sales platform to cater to the needs of new-age digital customers for purchase of new Hyundai cars.” Adding to this he said, “The retail selling has witnessed a tremendous shift since the last decade and the new generation is immensely inclined to buy products online.”

The way this service works is, you have to create an account with Hyundai on the ‘Click to buy’ website. Once registered, the process is fairly straightforward as you can choose the dealership, model, variant, colour and any other configurable options. From there, you get a quotation and financing options, choose the delivery method and then finally, you can place the order. Through this entire process, you have access to a concierge service that can be used to clarify any doubts.

With recent studies showing the number of internet users in India willing to purchase goods online on the rise, this service has a lot of scope. However, only time will tell how many potential buyers adopt this service.
