Mercedes-Benz India announces new service initiative

Mercedes-Benz has launched ‘Premier Express Prime’, which is its new “Efficiency-focused” initiative that lets customers get their car serviced within 3 hours, or the service is offered free. This comes as part of 25 initiatives taken by the German Automaker to celebrate its silver jubilee in India.

Similar to competitor BMW’s Fast Lane service and Mercedes-Benz’s own Premier Express service, the new Premier Express Prime Service provides customers with a range of standard services such as oil service, brake fluid replacement, air and pollen filter replacement, fuel filter replacement, coolant check, brake pads and discs replacement, and wheel balancing and rotation. At the end of it, you get a car that has been washed and cleaned.

In order to deliver on its promise of a sub-3-hour turnaround, Mercedes Benz says it has introduced a dedicated infrastructure within its service centres, consisting of dedicated bays, specialised tools, and specialised equipment.

Aimed primarily at customers that are pressed for time, the brand hopes to provide such customers with the benefit of having to travel to the service centre only once for the service of their vehicle. Available only in Bengaluru as of now, the service is expected to roll out to select cities soon, which include Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

In related news, Mercedes recently launched the GLC facelift in India, priced from Rs 52.75 lakh for the GLC 200, and going up to Rs 57.75 lakh for the GLC 220d 4Matic (ex-showroom, pan-India). The facelift gets BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engine options.
