Bajaj Auto recently resurrected its iconic Chetak moniker by revealing the new Chetak e-scooter – the brand's first-ever EV. Featuring European design cues and powered by a 4kW electric motor, the new Bajaj Chetak is the first all-electric scooter being made by a mainstream two-wheeler manufacturer in India. According to our sources, the new Bajaj Chetak will begin sales in Bangalore and other initial markets through KTM dealerships. The KTM dealer network is more premium, and is therefore more fitting for the premium positioning Bajaj has in mind for the new Chetak. It may seem a little strange, but the Husqvarnas will soon join the KTMs in the same showrooms. So, in effect, the KTM showrooms will offer a better experience than what current Bajaj showrooms can currently offer.
