DRiVTM Incorporated, headquartered in the greater Chicago area, will be one of the largest global multi-line, multi-brand aftermarket suppliers and one of the largest global original equipment (OE), ride performance and braking suppliers to aftermarket, light-vehicle, and commercial-vehicle customers. The $6+ billion company has a massive global footprint, including 64 manufacturing facilities worldwide, as well as 29 engineering and technical facilities. DRiVTM has a stable of enduring aftermarket brands and long-time partnerships with the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers. These include Monroe®, Goetze®, Ferodo®, Champion®, Öhlins®, Moog®, Wagner®, Thrush®, Axios® and several others. In this issue, we take a look at the Ferodo® brand’s rich heritage and product range.

Today, Ferodo® is synonymous with excellence and a continued commitment to the development of braking solutions for the future. As a result, Ferodo® has naturally become the preferred choice in the supply of original equipment, as well as a trusted name in braking. Indeed, Ferodo® provides premium quality brake parts to the world’s leading manufacturers and the automotive aftermarket. Pioneering research, innovative development, bold engineering and testing our products on the road – all ensure the safety and reliability of our products.
Quality is at the centre of what we do. Ferodo® has one promise: to put you in control, with products and services designed for all vehicles to help you work efficiently, profitably and, most of all, safely in all conditions. This way, wherever you drive, whatever you drive, you’re in control.
CAR BRAKE PADS AND SHOES
Ferodo® LV brake pads and brake shoes offer extra durability and reduced wear, which means longer life and lower maintenance costs. These offer noise suppression with increased safety and demonstrate strength under all conditions, bringing highly efficient cost-per-kilometre braking. Ferodo® products are carefully engineered for the needs of your vehicle and help you keep a firm grip all the time. Safe and highly effective, they stop quicker and last longer.
2/3-WHEELER BRAKING
Ferodo® offers a range of 2/3 Wheeler brake pads, shoes and clutches with performance and modulation appreciated by the world’s best riders. Ferodo® brake shoes have better NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) characteristics in all weather conditions, while a range of organic and sintered brake pads provide the performance and modulation appreciated by the riding champions. The material used in clutches has unique characteristics and provides excellent performance, even during severe use.
CV BRAKE LINING AND DISC PADS
Ferodo® brake linings meet or exceed vehicle manufacturer specifications and offer minimal drum wear, which translates into an extended lifetime. Manufactured in-house at a state-of-the-art plant in Chennai, all Ferodo® brake linings undergo exhaustive testing procedures in order to maintain our high standards. They pass stringent dynamometer and road trials to guarantee top performance, even in the extreme environment of CV brake systems. That’s testing to perfection.
