Mercedes-Benz India has rolled out a variety of initiatives to aid customers who own cars that have been affected by the recent floods in multiple Indian states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Kerala. Specific cities in these states are the focus of these initiatives including Kolhapur, Sangli, Vadodara, Calicut, Kochi and adjoining areas of these cities.
The luxury brand now has designated teams at its dealerships for quicker service turnaround times, free delivery of spare parts by airfreight, free towing and transport of flood affected vehicles, faster processing of insurance claims by Daimler Financial Services India (DFS), special rates for labour charges and a Mercedes-Benz On-Road Assistance team that recovers damaged vehicles.
Mercedes has also donated Rs 28.6 lakh to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund towards supporting flood relief operations in Western Maharashtra and Rs 10 lakh each to the respective CM Relief Fund for relief operations in Northern Karnataka and Kerala.
