Suzuki has just launched the 2019 GSX-S750 that was first showcased to Indian audiences at the 2018 Auto Expo. Priced at Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the GSX-S750 for 2019 gets two new colour schemes – Metallic Matte Black and Pearl Glacier White along with updated graphics.
The Suzuki is a middleweight naked motorcycle and borrows its styling cues from the GSX-S1000. The bike sports an all-digital LCD instrument console and features a three-level traction control that can be switched off if needed. Powering the motorcycle is a 749cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline four-cylinder motor that makes 114hp at 10,500rpm and 81Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. Power is transmitted via a 6-speed gearbox.
The GSX-S750 comes with some impressive hardware as well. It features a 41mm KYB USD fork with adjustable preload and compression. The monoshock, also by KYB, is only preload adjustable. Braking is done via Nissin-powered twin 310mm discs up front with a four-piston caliper and a 240mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
We rode the GSX on the track and were quite impressed with how well it performed. Read all about it here. The 2019 Suzuki GSX-S750 continues to cost essentially the same as the 2018 model. In terms of competition, the Suzuki GSX-S750 will take on the likes of the Kawasaki Z900 (Rs 7.69 lakh), the Triumph Street Triple S (Rs 9.19 lakh) and the Yamaha MT-09 (Rs 10.55 lakh).
All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom, Delhi.
