Buying an SUV before the implementation of the BS-VI norms

I am planning to buy a premium, five-seater SUV, like the VW Tiguan or the Jeep Compass. Will there be heavy discounts before the implementation of the BS-VI norms? I am planning to keep the vehicle for a minimum of six years. So is it better to wait for the offers or for the new 2019 launches or until BS-VI kicks in?

AAA There is no doubt that the cost of the hardware needed to upgrade engines to BS-VI will push the prices up of new cars. So if you want a good deal, it’s better to buy just before the norms come into effect in April 2020 because that’s when manufacturers will be offering the maximum discounts. The advantage of a BS-VI car is that its resale value will be better.
