TVS Apache owners embark on ride to Bhutan

The TVS Apache Owners Group (AOG) has flagged-off its first international ride to Bhutan. The 10-day-long round trip started from Siliguri, West Bengal, on December 3, 2018, and will see 17 TVS Apache owners traverse a distance of 2,000km. The entire range of TVS Apache motorcycles – namely the TVS Apache RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, 200 4V and the RR 310 are participating in the ride.

Post departure from Siliguri, the team will reach the small bordering town of Phuntsholing, before they proceed to Thimphu, the vibrant capital of Bhutan. The riders will then make their way to Kuensel Phodrang, home to the world’s largest Buddha statue, followed by Punakha valley along the banks of Mo Chu and Pho Chu – two of the most prominent rivers in Bhutan. The ride will also see them traverse through the Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park (wildlife preserve inhabited by some exotic species of fauna) before moving to the quaint little town of Paro and embarking on a journey to get a glimpse of the famed Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang Monastery, which is considered the cultural icon of Bhutan. The last leg of the ride will see the riders scale the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, Chelel La, before concluding the ride at Siliguri on December 12, 2018.

The Apache Owners Group have an active rider base in more than 35 cities and acts as an opportunity for riders to unite frequently to explore trails and remote locations on their motorcycles.
